Ok, so something happened with a client that I can't stop thinking about... He's a health coach. Running Instagram ads. Getting qualified followers at $0.50 each (sometimes less) For context... most people in his space pay $1-3 for the same thing. And here's the part that's been messing with me. The strategy was so simple... too simple I almost don't want to say it out loud. An ad. Targeting his ideal client. Asking them to follow him if they need his specific services. That's... that's the strategy. No underground hack. No $10k agency playbook. Just a clear message to the right person. And my first thought was honestly... wait, did we do something wrong? Like, is the tracking off? Because those numbers don't make sense for a strategy this basic. Went back through everything we did together. And I found it. Before we ever touched his ads, we spent a lot of time on stuff that isn't marketing So I did what I always do when something works better than expected... I tried to figure out why. And the answer is kind of annoying, honestly. It wasn't the ad. It was the 4 months of work we did before the ad. We spent all that time on him... not his funnel, business model, system or strategy. HIM. How he thinks about who he serves. What he's actually willing to say out loud about his industry. The stuff most health coaches think, but post some safe alternative instead. His relationship with accepting ease without sabotaging his progress, his relationship with money, his fears & resentments His willingness to be specific. To be polarizing. To not chase everyone. Here's an actual screenshot of what he sent me 1 day before his Ad went live And here's what I keep coming back to... The ad literally just said "hey, if you're this person, who struggles with this, and needs that, follow me." But the reason it worked at $0.50 instead of $3 is that when that person landed on his profile... the signal was clear. No confusion. No generic wellness fluff. Just... him. Unfiltered. His magnetic energy, his healed identity, his focus and drive. People do not buy for results or mechanisms anymore... anyone can promise those People buy because of VALUES They resonate with your values and see that you're the right model to follow. Which makes me wonder... how many of us are optimizing the wrong thing? Like, we're A/B testing headlines, posting multi-platform, changing the offer, fixing the positioning... Wasting time, money, and energy on the wrong things when the real test is whether we've done the real metacognitive work so we become unchained from our traumas, limiting beliefs, resistance, and resentment... It's interesting ain't it? Inconsistent income is not a strategy problem, it's a YOU problem. I give you the food, it's your job to chew on it. For the love of wisdom, ps.
